Description
- Heavy Duty Coil Spring Compressor Strut Suspension Clamp With Safety Bracket Set quickly and safely compresses the spring for easy replacement or repair struts, shock absorbers and spring sets in your car.
- This coil spring compressor set has a telescopically adjustable protection bracket that reduces tool deflection, bending and warping even at high tension, ensures stable parallel compression and prevents accidental release of the spring at high tension.
- Anti-skid design on the hooked jaws provides a large contact area for superior handling and stability during compression. The metal locking ring design enables the metal ring to lock the jaws securely, avoiding slippage and increasing safety.
- The knurled texture ensures a sure and safe grip as well as superior stability as you work. The screw compressor can hold the spring tightly by rotating the easy to use hexagonal nut. Use 19 mm hex socket or wrench.
- This tool has a wide jaw capacity of approximately 2" -11" (51 - 280 mm) and an adjustable holder suitable for approximately 8.5" - 12" (216-305 mm) diameters coil. Each pair of the spring compressor tool can withstand a load of up to approximately 2200lbs(1000 kg).
- The coil spring compressor is constructed from heat-treated steel, screw and premium galvanized finish for high durability and corrosion resistance.

Installation and use
- Extend internally threaded rod to full length and attach the bracket jaws onto the spring.
- Adjust safeguard and tighten locking nut to secure in place.
- There are two dowels on the fork for the safety guard to be inserted and the middle nut is kept loose to adjust the guard to the correct length around the spring.
- With a hand ratchet or wrench, slowly and evenly crank the hex socket to compress the spring.
WARNING
- Determine the outer diameter and the compressed load of the spring, and check that the compressor is suitable and always Keep the compressor spindles lubricated before use to avoid stripping
- Ensure jaws are correctly engaged on the spring before commencing compression.
- Ensure the jaws and the body of the compressor are correctly aligned at all times during spring compression.
- Do not compress the spring to an extent where the jaws touch. Stop compressing the spring before it becomes coil bound.
- The coil will need to be compressed equally on each side - alternate between each arm to not unbalance the spring.
